His parents were also born in Sweden. He immigrated to America in 1881. They had nine children, five of whom were surviving as of the 1900 Colorado Census.

My Bodines came from Sweden in 1881. Information I recently received indicates that in Sweden the last name was Andersson. How/why it was changed to Bodine in America I haven't found out yet. I look forward to the discussions.

This makes me wonder if they are not related to the Anders Bodine who also came over from Sweden. He came in 1883 and went to Minnesota.
