1st marriage--1981--JERALD R. BECK.
From San Diego County, California Marriage Records:
Jerald R. Beck, 29 AND M'liss K. Bodine were married 24 Jan 1981.
From Social Security Records:
Jerald Ray Beck, born 24 Sept 1951, died 7 Sept 2010. Last residence--Florida.
Obituary, Star-Telegram (Fort Worth, TX) of 12 Sept 2010.
Jerald Ray Beck, 58, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, in Florida. Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, at Moore Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the LiveStrong Foundation. Born in Waxahachie and raised in the area, Jerald was a 1970 graduate of Sam Houston High School. He was most fond of his time on the Texans' offensive line, and turned that love for football into many years of volunteer service coaching youth sports. For 17 years, Jerald worked for Industrial Catering starting as a driver and growing into various management roles. Realizing his true entrepreneurial spirit, Jerald started and ran several successful businesses in the Metroplex; in most recent years in the land development and oil and gas industries. His greatest venture, however, was his family; his three children and six grandchildren brought him more pride and joy than any business deal. He had a magnetic personality, with a bright smile and a load of southern charm. While his life was at times eccentric, it was always his own, and he lived it with more passion and intention than most men dream. Although no one expected him to leave so soon, everyone touched by his life has peace in knowing he lived each day to the fullest, and made sure each and every person knew how much he loved them. Jerald was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Loretta Beck. Survivors: He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Jeannie and Ed Myers of Arlington; son, Jeff Beck and his wife, Gisela, of Austin; daughter, Jeri Davis and her husband, Kenny; son, Jay Beck and his wife, Ann; and his adoring grandchildren, Collin, Aaron, Trey, Emily, Libby and Ellie Kate. He also leaves behind countless family and friends whom he loved dearly, including his best four-legged friends, Scout, Sam and Jessie.
Note: In Florida, his death was handled by Moss Feaster Funeral Home, Dunedin, Pinellas County.
Children of M'liss Bodine and Jerald Beck: Ian Reese (21 Nov 1983).
