Gregory "Greg" Allen Bodine, of New Caney, TX, was born on October 3rd 1957 in Galveston, TX. He lost his battle with liver disease on Thursday, July 5th 2018 at the age of 60. He is preceded in death by his father James Franklin Bodine, mother Ouida Jean Osborn and wife Leah Bodine. He is survived by his sister Karen Bodine and her partner Samantha Marino of Humble, TX, sister and brother-in law Kristi and Jason Welch of Pasadena, TX, nephew Bradley Welch, uncle Dan Bodine and wife Helen of Sugar Land, TX, aunt Pat Colley and husband Gary of Bradford, PA, step-mother Dianne Bodine of Pasadena, TX, step-daughter Cheryl Schlichter and family of Broaddus, TX and many close friends who he loved dearly. Greg lived in Texas City, TX as a child before moving to Deer Park, TX. After graduating from Deer Park High School in 1976, Greg was employed by the City of Deer Park where he worked as a fleet mechanic retiring in 2003. Greg also served in the United Stated Air Force for over 22 years and received the rank of Master Sargent. He was a member of the Air National Guard where he worked as a jet mechanic. He loved God and his country! Greg was a member of Second Baptist Church of Kingwood, TX. In his spare time, Greg could be found building model airplanes, working on one of his Ford hot rods, or watching Nascar. He was a history buff and loved John Wayne movies and aircraft of all kinds. He also loved his puppy dogs, Baby Dog and Doodle Bug. He was a die hard Astros, Oilers and Texans fan. Greg will be truly missed by his family and friends. His sense of humor was one of a kind. He never met a stranger. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Baylor St. Lukes Medical Center for their exceptional care during this challenging time in our lives. Pallbearers include Todd Barrow, Ron Riley, Bobby Gates, Richard Rucka, Jon Crabtree, Jason Welch and Bradley Welch.
