Notes for: Effie Berthella Bodine

Effie is probably the daughter of James Bodine, but this is not certain. Her name when she married John Burk was recorded as "Effie Boaine." William Longley was guardian of the bride. On September 27, 1854 as a resident of Catoosa County, Georgia, "Mrs. Etha Burk," age "about 73" made a statement on behalf of Mary Longley's heirs that she was Mary's sister.
