William Bodine, age 12, was living in January 1920 in the home of his uncle William Bodine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Lois (Holding) Bodine was the daughter of Archibald McCall and Florence Kirk (Polk) Holding. William and Lois Bodine were buried in Old Saint David's Cemetery, Radnor, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

Lois Holding Bodine, 80, who was active in Philadelphia-area community and civic affairs, died Saturday of injuries suffered in an auto accident in Kent County, Md. She lived in Bryn Mawr. She attended West Chester Friends and Shipley Schools and was a graduate of Smith College. Concerned for the elderly, she served on the boards of St. Anna's Home for Aged Women and the House of Rest. She was also active in the Sunday School and the Bazaar of the Church of the Redeemer of Bryn Mawr. Mrs. Bodine was active in the Garden Workers Garden Club and served on the Appleford Committee. She is survived by her husband, William Carson Bodine; daughters, Sheila B. Schindler and Margaret B. Wallis; and three grandchildren. A memorial service is to be scheduled.

William Corson Bodine, 83, a retired partner of the Pepper, Hamilton & Scheetz law firm who had been with the firm for nearly 50 years, died Sunday at the Devon Manor Nursing Home. He was a lifelong resident of the Philadelphia area and had lived most recently in Bryn Mawr. Mr. Bodine was also a longtime member of the board of directors and a former acting president of the board of the Curtis Institute of Music. Born in Philadelphia, he attended the William Penn Charter School and the Kent School in Kent, Conn., before graduating from Princeton University in 1929 and the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1932. Except for several years during World War II when he served in Washington as a Navy lieutenant commander, Mr. Bodine spent his entire career as a lawyer with Pepper Hamilton, a major Philadelphia law firm. He also served on the board of the Mary Louise Bok Foundation, which supported the Curtis Institute. At the time of his death, he had been a member of the Racquet Club, the Sunnybrook Golf Club in Plymouth Meeting and the Pickering Hunt Club in Chester Springs, Chester County. Surviving are two daughters, Sheila B. Schindler and Margaret B. Wallis, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be private.
