Notes for: Adaline ("Addie") Farnsworth

Her name comes from George's death certificate. Addie is buried in Riverside Cemetery in Rochester, Monroe County, New York. Buried there also are Alma Bodine (b. 1885, d. 1963) and Mary Farnsworth Bodine (b. 1885, d. 1942). They are all three in Section M. I imagine these must be related to her family, but I'm not sure.

1900 Federal Census:

Living in Ward 14, Chicago (West Town), Cook County, Illinois, 761 N. Western Ave., with her husband George (age 48), two sons Howard O. (age 18) and Harry F. (age 14), and mother-in-law Christina (age 77). Addie is age 38.

1910 Federal Census:

Living in Racine City, Racine County, Wisconsin, with her husband George (age 55), and sons Howard (age 27) and Harry (age 23). Howard's wife May (age 26) and their two children Cecile (age 6) and Howard "Lyle" Oliver Jr. (age 4) are also living with them. Addie is age 47.

1920 Federal Census:

Living in Rochester, Monroe County, New York, 314 During (?) Park Avenue, with her husband George (age 65). Addie is age 55.

1930 Federal Census:

Living in the City of Rochester, 23rd Ward, Block 2322, Monroe County, New York, 66 Britton Road with her son Harry (age 44) and his wife Alma (age 45). She has not attended school or college at any time since September 1, 1929. She can read and write. Addie is a cook in a cafeteria. She was a worker and actually employed at the time of the census. Addie is age 70.
