Notes for: William Herman Budine
I first had this person as "William Budine." I later learned that a son of Stephen Bodine and Sarah Sprague named Herman married a Margaret Thomson. I may be incorrect, but this William and that Herman seem to be the same person since the birth dates are close matches and I think I had a pretty complete list of Stephen and Sarah's children. Herman was born on March 17, 1857 in Hamden (Twp.?), NY. He married Margaret Thomson on December 6, 1877. She was from Downsville, NY. Someone has said that they had children Jennie and Jane; however, I think those may be the same person.

I found in some obituaries at the Delaware Co., NY GenWebsite one that listed a Jennie Bodine as the wife of a Jerome Terry. They had a son in 1884.
I have seen a death date of March 11, 1879, but it wasn't clear if that was for Margaret (Thomson) Budine or her husband, William Herman Budine. No sources were given.

I thought I would work on this a little today and I did find answers to some of my questions in the Bovina pages - Del. Co. site.
To date I have not found a marriage for William Herman Budine b. 1832 (Son of Moses Budine and Catherine Weaver)
I am going to do a search and see if possibly Andrew Thomson had a sister Margaret that could have married 1832 Wm. Herman.
I have not gotten over to the cemetery yet.

Comments: There is no evidence that William Budine was married a second time to a Jane Miner. It's a stretch to say he married twice between Dec 1877 and his death in March 1879, leaving two children. Not impossible, but there is no evidence and no 2nd widow named Jane Bodine/Budine and no orphan child named Frieda and although there is a father and son in Delaware County named William Hawley, neither has a wife named Frieda. What I did find is that a child of Joseph and Margaret Budine Miner was named Frieda, married a Scott and survived her brother Herman's death in 1963. She lived in Canada.
Margaret Thomson was the daughter of Andrew A. and Margaret (Oliver) Thomson. On 12 Jan 1881 in Delhi she married George W. Gregory and on 25 Dec 1907 she married Frank McDonald.
In 1880, Margaret Bodine, 19 NY, worked as a servant for the Robert Beater family in Colchester, Delaware County.
1900 (6 June) Colchester, Delaware Co.: Gew. W. GREGORY Feb 1839 NY farmer, Margaret E. July 1860 NY wife, Frank W. March 1884 NY son. Married 19 years, 3 children born/3 living.
