Notes for: William Herman Budine

He is in the 1850 Census of Andes, Delaware County, New York, p. 491.

I did have that his William Herman Budine had married a Margaret Thomson/Thompson, but that seems to have been a mistake. The information isn't clear at all and that aren't any sources, but it looks like this William's brother, Stephen, had a son named William Herman Budine who married the Thomson girl. Her name might also have been Elizabeth.

I wouldn't doubt that this is the William Budine found in the 1880 Census of Osceola, Stark Co., IL. Here is that info:
William, 46, NY, NY, NY. Farmer
Sara, 26, NJ, NJ, NJ (wife)
Nora, 5, IL, NY, NJ (dau)
Dan, 2, IL, NY, NJ (son)

From Ronny Bodine:

Sarah Philhower was the daughter of Nicholas and Ellen B. (Schuyler) Philhower.

William Budine was aged 18 in 1850, 23 in 1855, 28 in 1860, 32 in 1870 and 46 in 1880. Whereas his age in the first three censuses is consistent, thereafter it went askew.

From Illinois Federal Census Records:
1870 (9 Aug) Osceola Twp., Stark Co.: William BUDINE 32 NY farmer living in the household of Nathan & Julia Steward.

1880 (21 June) Osceola Twp., Stark Co.: Wm. BUDINE 46 NY farmer, Sarah 26 NJ, Nora 5 IL, Dan 2 IL.
