Notes for: William E. Bodine, Sr.

William Bodine was a U.S. Army veteran of World War I. He served with the 20th and 42nd Infantry and was promoted to Sergeant in Aug 1918. The Bodine family was living 1930 in Holcomb, Dunklin County where William was employed as a rural mail carrier. Florence (Marler) Bodine was the daughter of Jack and Nannie (Nickles) Marler. According to her Missouri death certificate, no. 1952-27635, she died of a cerebral apoplexy. William and Florence Bodine were buried in Stanfield Cemetery, Clarkton, Dunklin County.
