In1900, Anna V. Pitman, born June 1898 in NJ, lived with her mother, Mary E. Pitman, in Somerset, Salem County, NJ. The obituary of Mary E. Pitman, 68, of Pennsgrove, in The Morning Post (Camden, NJ) of 13 Sept 1940, names her daughter Mrs. Anna V. Bodine, of Thorofare.
Charles and Anna Bodine were living 1930 in Washington, D.C. where Charles worked as a painter on odd jobs. The couple had been married 8 years and had no children.

Mrs. Anna V. Bodine, 76, of 2222 Kapiolani Blvd., died Saturday in Hale Nani Hospital. She was born in Penns Grove, N.J. Graveside services were held yesterday at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. She is survived by her husband, Charles A.

Dorothy Lucille Sweatland-Whitworth, age 65, of Kaneohe, Hawaii, died July 23, 1990 at Kaiser Foundation Hospital. She was born February 28, 1925 in Camden, New York. She is survived by her husband, Charles Bodine, daughter, Mrs. Abel (Marilyn) Huihui; sons, Bruce Whitworth, Ernest (Sherry) Whitworth; brothers, Alton, William, John and James Sweatland of New York; sisters, Marie Muir, Beverly Metott of Florida, Betty Trumble, Joyce Ballard of New York, Maryanna Arrequin of Michigan; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Dorothy was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Aux. 94 and a former State Department president. She was also a member of the American Legion Unit 17, a Major in the Hawaii Wing Civil Air Patrol, Daughters of the Nile, Liale Charpter Order of the Eastern Star # 2, White Shrine, Cooties, World War I, and Amaranth Inc. Mauloa Court # 1. Family requests that casual attire be worn. Friends may call on Thursday, August 2, 1990 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary from 6 to 9 PM. Service at 7:30 PM. Survived by daughter, Mrs. Abel (Marilyn) Huihui; sons, Bruce Whitworth and Ernest Whitworth; brother, Albert Jr. of New Jersey; sister, Frances Schlipf of Pennsylvania.
