Notes for: Claiborne Whitworth, Jr.

Claborn's father died testate at the age of 62. The probate papers give his age as 27. The place of his residence was unknown to the court. He was in the 1860 Marshall County, Alabama Census records, but he disappeared before his father died. No further record has been found of where he went. Family lore in Bounty County, Alabama says he went to South Carolina never to return to Marshall County to see his family.
