The wedding of Edward Gale, of Sidney, New York and Helen Bodine, at the home of her parents, was reported in the Wellsboro Agitator of 30 June 1927. Edward and Helen Gale lived in Oxford, Chenango County, New York in 1930 where Edward worked as a railroad mail clerk and Helen as a public school teacher.
Helen Gale was buried in Wellsboro Cemetery, Tioga County.

The funeral of Mrs. Edward Gale, of New Hartford, N.Y., who died March 6, was held Sunday at the Wellsboro cemetery. Rev. Robert W. L. Mark, pastor of the Presbyterian church officiated. Those from out-of-town who attended were: Dr. and Mrs. Francis Bodine, of Kane; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Snyder, of Patton; Mr. and Mrs. Farnham H. Shaw, Jr., of Dundee, N.Y.; Mrs. E. W. Daley, of Bowie, Texas; Mrs. Gale was the daughter of Mrs. Adelaide Shaw Bodine, of Wellsboro.
