Lewis Boyce, 23, of Delmar Twp., farmer, native of Wellsboro, son of Burton and Margaret (Hammond) Boyce AND Madgel Bodine, 25, of Delmar, teacher, native of Delmar, divorced 13 July 1914, daughter of William T. & Etta G. (Wilkins) Bodine, were married 5 April 1915 in Wellsboro, by W. W. Brunk, Minister of the Gospel.

Mrs. Madgel J. Boyce, wife of Lewis Boyce of Wellsboro RD 1, died at Williamsport General Hospital Wednesday, November 23, 1960. She was born here October 12, 1888, the daughter of William T. and Etta Watkins Bodine and was a member of First Methodist Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Josephine Brooks of Wellsboro RD 4, and Mrs. Gertrude Cunningham of Corning, N. Y.; a sister, Mrs. Selena Cleveland of Wellsboro RD 2; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Services were held Sunday afternoon at 139 Main Street Funeral Home, the Rev. Edward T. Read officiated. Burial Wellsboro Cemetery.

Lewis Burt Boyce, 68, died Sunday, August 6, 1961 at his home in Wellsboro RD 1. Born March 20, 1893 in Delmar Township, he was the son of Burt and Margaret Dittenhofter Boyce. Mr. Boyce was a retired farmer, and a member of Wellsboro Grange and the Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Josephine Brooks of Wellsboro RD 4 and Mrs. Gertrude Cunningham of Corning, N.Y.; three sisters, Mrs. Celia Warner of Wellsboro, Mrs. P. A. Coolidge of Grand Rapids, Mich. and Mrs. L. D. Jackson of Middleville, Mich.; four brothers, Steven, Ray and William of Wellsboro, and John of Wellsboro RD 1, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Johnson and Tussey Funeral Home by the Rev. Harrison DeWitt. Interment will be in Wellsboro Cemetery.
