Michael Bodine came to America with his parents in 1894 and was naruralized as a U.S. citizen in 1903. In 1910, Michael Bodine lived in Michigan City, La Porte County, Indiana employed as a warehouse clerk. He reported that he and his wife Ruby had been married for 3 years, but had had no children. In 1917, he registered for the World War I draft in La Porte County, Indiana 1917 at which time he was employed as a photographer and interpretor. In 1920, as a widower, he lived with his brother Soloman Bodine in La Porte County. In 1930, he lived with his new wife and son in Michigan City, La Porte County engaged as a studio photographer. Michael Bodine was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan Township, La Porte County.

Michael Bodine, 24 AND Ruby Gwin, 23, were married 10 March 1908 in Chicago.
From Indiana Death Certificate of Mrs. Ruby Bodine, wife of Michael Bodine, born 25 Oct 1883 in Indiana, dau. of T. J. & Emma (Thayer) Guise; died 9 March 1914 in Michigan City, La Porte County, and buried in Lafayette. [Note: Although the name of her father reads Guise, it should be Gwin. The Indiana death certificate of her mother from 1922 reads Mary Emma GWIN and the name of her husband T. J. GWIN.]

Michael Bodine, photographer, of Michigan City, Ind., born in Syria, age 40 on 25 Jan 1926, son of Kallit Bodine & Hadba Bonahomm AND Nellie Nemoir, of Milwaukee, Wisc., born in Syria, age 23 on 11 July 1926, dau. of Habid Nemoir & Susan Brady, were married 15 Sept 1926 by Rev. Frances E. Molom.
