Notes for: Karel ("Charles") De Baun

He first bought a large farm in 1719 on the N side of Hardenbergh Ave
(now in Harrington Township), extending from the Schraalenburgh Road
to the Tiena Kill (including part of what is now Demarest), on which
for a time he resided. Shortly after 1721 he sold the farm and bought
several large tracts between the Hackensack and Pascack Rivers, on one
of which he settled and died.
