Irene S. Tomecek, 79, of Milan Township died Wednesday morning in her home. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home and at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Marble Park Cemetery. Born Jan. 13, 1926, in Belleville, she was the daughter of Anthony and Stephanie (Nowatka) Latocki. She married Clyde Bordine, who died in August, 1964. She later married John Tomecek, who died in August, 1993. She had worked for Willow Run Bomber Plant in Ypsilanti and then for Wolverine Plastics of Milan for many years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and its Ladies Altar Society, for which she volunteered. She also was a member of Sullivan Center in London Township and of Monroe County 4-H, teaching sewing and cooking and assisting her husband Clyde with horses. Surviving are a son, Gerald (Lynette) Bordine of Maybee; three daughters, Linda (Melvin) Edmundson of Ypsilanti and Marjorie (Bill) Siefker and Diane Kiley, both of Milan; a stepson, Joseph (Arden) Tomacek of Milan; a brother, Joseph of Saline; 14 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony and Eugene.
