In 1850, Samuel Reading lived with his family in Delaware Township, Hunterdon County engaged in farming. Samuel and Catherine Reading were buried in Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, Hunterdon County.

Children: Martha (c1847), Asher (c1848), Mary (1850), Sybilla (1852).
