Notes for: Wesley Bellis Bodine
Carol Morris said that she has conflicting dates for his birth date. One says May 19 and another November 17. The History of Bucks Co., PA (1905, v. 3, p. 237) says that Wesley Bodine was the sheriff of Hunterdon County for many years.
I also had a daughter Jean Bodine for Wesley and Jennie, but RB did not list her.
From Ronny Bodine:
In June 1900, Wesley Bodine lived with his family in Delaware Township, Hunterdon County where the family engaged in farming. Wesley reported that in 4 years of marriage his wife had borne 2 children, both of whom were then living with them. The household included his son, Russell, from his first marriage, his unmarried sister, Jennie (born Sept 1861) and his widowed mother, Mary (born Dec 1824). Wesley's birthdate was noted as May 1859 which is contradicted by his grave marker which gives 17 Nov 1859 as the date. In April 1910, the family yet lived in Delaware Township when Wesley reported Emma was his 2nd wife to whom he had been married 14 years and that she had borne 5 children now of whom 4 were then living. Wesley and Emma Bodine were buried in Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, New Jersey.
