I also have a copy of his naturalization application I will cross reference. I agree because the death certificate also states he was from Germany, This was the port he sailed from to the U.S., but I know that his naturalization application advises he was from Russia/Poland as do the Ellis Island records indicate he was from Russia. Really great website...
