Walton---Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Clark Funeral Home, Walton, for Mrs. Mildred (Budine) Welch, 44, who committed suicide Monday. The Rev. Henry G. Lincoln, pastor of Walton Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Walton Cemetery. Dr. C. Sumner Gould of Walton, Delaware County coroner, gave a verdict of suicide by hanging. Dr. Gould said the hanging took place in a woodshed at the home of Arthur Birgbee. Mrs. Welch was born in Walton Jan. 3, 1906, daughter of Leslie and Viola (Gilbert) Budine. She was married to Bert Welch in June, 1925, at Walton. She had been employed as a housekeeper at the Birgbee home. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Bert Jr., a daughter, Frances Jean, her mother, two brothers, Lawrence and Gordon Budine, all of Walton, five sisters, Mrs. Elmer McAdams and Mrs. Frank Barlow of Walton, Mrs. Daisy Schriber of South Edmeston and Mrs. Tracy Brundage and Miss Eunice Budine of Schenedtady.

Walton---Bert Welch, 125 Prospect Ave., died yesterday at his home. He had been in failing health since suffering a stroke three years ago. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Clark Funeral Home. The Rev. Henry G. Lincoln, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Walton Cemetery. Mr. Welch was born July 19, 1879, in Bloomville, son of Frank and Elizabeth (Seaman) Welch. He married Mildred Budine in Walton, June 16, 1925. She died April 24. He moved here from Pinesville eight years ago. Surviving are a son, Bert Welch Jr., and a daughter, Frances Welch, both of Walton.
