Ballard, 22, of Walton, NY, farmer, born at Griffin's Corners, NY, son of Wilford D. & Mina (Todd) Ballard AND LaVeda Budine, 18, of Walton, born in Walton, dau. of Cyrus H. & Hannah (Shutters) Budine, 1st marriage for both parties, were married 30 Aug 1916 at Walton by B. M. Denniston, Clergyman.

Charles Ballard of Walton, N.Y., who has been working for the New York Air Brake Company in this city for the past several months, died at 11:45 Wednesday night at St. Joachim's hospital, following a three weeks' illness of typhoid fever, aged 24 years. He was taken to the hospital three weeks ago. He was born in Middletown, N.Y. but the greater part of his life had been spent in Walton. He leaves a widow and his parents, all residing in Walton. The body was taken on the train to Walton today.

Ballard, 25, of Oneonta, clerk, born in Walton, dau. of Cyrus H. & Hannah (Schutters) Budine, groom's 1st marriage, bride's 2nd marriage, were married 20 July 1924 in Hamilton by Robert C. Austin, Clergyman.

Mrs. John M. Robertson, 60, of 6 Ceperley Ave., died September 22 at Fox Hospital, following a short illness. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Elm Park Methodist Church, with the Rev. Wiliam H. Heapps, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Plains Cemetery. Friends may call at the Bookhout Funeral Home after 1 p. m. today until 11 a. m. Wednesday. The family will be present from 7 to 9 tonight. Mrs. Robertson was bom in Walton Jan. 30, 1898, daughter of Cyrus and Hanna (Shutters) Budine. She was married July 26, 1929 (sic) in Madison to John M. Robertson, and had lived in Oneonta for 8 years. A member of Elm Park Church, she was a member of its WSCS, communion steward, and chairman of the parsonage committee. She also was a member of the Senior Woman's Board of Fox Hospital and of Oneonta Home Bureau. Surviving besides her husband are five brothers, Lewis Budine, Bainbridge; Leon, Stanley, Kenneth and Rubert Budine, all of Walton; three sisters, Mrs. LaVina Robinson and Mrs. Blanche Hayes, both of Walton and Mrs. Edith Chamberlin, Binghamton, and several nieces and nephews.
