She was Anna M. Bodine, age 1 in 1870 and Annie, age 12, in 1880, living with her parents in Genesee County. In 1900, Anna Bodine is a single school teacher who resides in the household of George E. Herriman and his first wife Cornelia. George was married to Cornelia until she died in 1922, then he and Anna were married.

George Eugene Herriman, 73, of Flint, Mich., born in Michigan, son of Thadeus Herriman & Rebecca Shipman AND Anna May Bodine, 54, of Los Angeles, Calf., born in Michigan, daughter of Oscar Bodine & Cornelia Bingham, were married 30 Oct 1923 in Los Angeles by J. W. Craig, Baptist Minister.

Former Clio Teacher Dies in California
Friends here have received word of the death of Anna Bodine Herriman, which occurred in California, January 27, 1951. She had been ill for a long period of time, according to a letter received from her brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert F. Bodine, of South Pasadena, California. Mrs. Anna Bodine Herriman was born in West Vienna township, at the site of the old Bodine Mill, January 24, 1869. She attended Clio school in the original two-room building, and later she taught in the Clio and Flushing schools. She was also one of the founders of the "Boys and Girls of the Eighties", a group of Clio people who used to hold annual reunions during the summer. Further particulars concerning the funeral have not been received.
