I took a closer look at this couple. The 1910 census shows that Alfred's marriage to Olive was his 2nd and Olive's 1st, and that daughter Helen was by his 1st wife as he and Olive had been married less than a year, so 1909-before 1 April 1910 and most likely in Hunterdon County, NJ where Olive lived with her parents or Middlesex County, NJ where they lived in 1910.

In 1900, Olive Bodine was age 19 and single, living with her parents, and working as a school teacher. In 1920, Alfred and Olive Osmun lived in Dunellen, Middlesex County where he was employed as a harness salesman. In 1942, Alfred Osmun registered for the World War II draft as a resident of Reading Township, Hunterdon County. Olive Bodine was his next of kin.

Miss Olive M. Bodine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bodine, of South Second street, became the bride of Alfred Osmun, of New Market, at her home last evening. The ceremony was a very quiet affair, performed by Rev. Charles K. Kemble, pastor of the Monroe avene church.

In 1942, Alfred Fonda Osmun, a resident of Whitehouse, New Jersey, registered for the World War II Draft and reported he was born 3 Feb 1880 in Dunellen, New Jersey and that Olive B. Osmun was his next of kin.

Whitehouse---Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Seals Colonial Funeral Home for Alfred F. Osmun, 69, of Whitehouse Station, who died Tuesday evening (Jan. 17, 1950) in the Union Forge Nursing Home, Clinton. The Rev. Henry C. Kreutzer, pastor of the Rockaway Reformed Church, Whitehouse Station, will officiate. Interment will be in the New Cemetery, Somerville. Mr. Osmun was born in New Market, son of the late Ziba and Elizabeth Nelson Osmun. He was identified with the harness business, and later the automotive parts and equipment business, in the New Market vicinity until 1932, when he and his son, Alfred Jr., established the Osmun Service, Inc. in Route 28, Whitehouse. Mr. Osmun was a member of the New Market Baptist Church and an hereditary member of the Society of the Cincinnati and the United Commercial Travelers. He is survived by his widow, the former Olive Bodine; and three children, Mrs. Helene Gerber of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Katherine Reishell of Somerville and Alfred Jr. of Whitehouse Station; and four grandchildren.

FLEMINGTON---Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Olive B. Osmun of Whitehouse Station who died yesterday at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Holcomb Funeral Home 147 Main Street Flemington. Mrs. Osmun was 85. The Rev. Bruce Penn of Albany, N.Y., formerly of Whitehouse will officiate. Interment will be in Somerville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday 7-9 p.m. Mrs. Osmun was a native of Hunterdon County and spent most of her life here. Her husband was the late Alfred R. Osmun. Mrs. Osmun is survived by one son, Alfred L., of Ehitehouse; two daughters, Mrs. Katherine Reishell, of Baltimore and Mrs. Helene Gerber of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
