She is in the 1903 picture of John and Clara's 50th wedding anniversary. Her name in the wedding announcement in the Hunterdon County Democrat of November 8, 1881 was Sallie C. Bodine. They were married by elder Jacob Rodenbaugh at her parents' residence.
Her name is Sarah C. Bodine in the 1880 Census of North Plainfield, Somerset Co., NJ.

Flemington--Mrs. Sarah Lawshe, 83, widow of Samuel Lawshe, Delaware Township, died Wednesday (Feb. 16, 1938) in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Orville Wilson, Woodsville. Mrs. Lawshe is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Frank L. Miller, Sergeantsville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. in the home of Mrs. Wilson, the Rev. Henry T. Horne, officiating. Burial will be in Ringoes Cemetery.
