In an article about William Cramer's 92 birthday (Courier News (Plainfield, NJ), 12/20/1952), it says his brother David (this David) was alive and a clerk at the Somerset County District Court.

Somerville---Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Maxwell Funeral Home for David Bodine, District Court clerk. Dr. Thomas P. Haig of the Second Reformed Church will officiate, and burial will be in New Cemetery. Mr. Bodine, who lived at 27 Division St., died Saturday (Mar. 21, 1953) at his home. He was 83 years old. A former resident of North Plainfield, he had lived in Somerville since his appointment to the District Court post Apr. 1, 1915 by the late Judge William Vosseller. He was born in Headquarters, a hamlet between Ringoes and Sergeantville, Hunterdon County, and moved with his family to North Plainfield at the age of four. He lived there more than 40 years. He was a former chief of the North Plainfield Fire Department and was an exempt member of that organization until his death. He was also charter member of Franklin Council 41, Jr. OUAM, Plainfield, past exalted ruler of Somerville Elks Lodge 46, F. and A. M. On Apr. 8, 1896 at Scott, Pa., he married the former Miss Anne S. Sanger. They celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary at their home here in 1946 surrounded by members of the immediate family and friends. In addition to his widow he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. George H. Mundy, 125 N. Gaston Ave., this place; a brother, William C. Bodine, 218 Grant Ave., Plainfield; and a sister, Mrs. Anna Smith, 2 Almont Pl., North Plainfield; a grandson, and a great-grandson. Masonic services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home with the Elks' service following at 8:30 p.m.

Somerville---Mrs. Annie S. Bodine, 88, of 125 N. Gaston Ave., died last night (Dec. 8, 1959) in her home after a long illness. The widow of David Bodine, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. George H. Mundy of the same address; one grandson, Capt. David H. Mundy of Randolph Air Force Base, Tex., and two great grandsons. She was a member of Century Chapter, Eastern Star 100, for 32 years. The funeral will be held from the Speer Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Thomas P. Haig, former pastor of the Second Reformed Church, officiating. Interment will be in New Cemetery. The Century Chapter will hold services at 8 p.m. Friday. Friends may call between 7 and 9 p.m. Friday.
