Notes for: Lenore Helen Krebs
In 1910 Lenore was living with her married sister, Edna. Also in the
household was Edna and Lenore's mother, Helen Krebs. Lenore was a
telephone operator. In 1920 she is married with two children, living in
Battle Creek, Calhoun County, Michigan. They were living on Lathrop
Avenue.
Per bible records, Lenore was born on a Tuesday and died on Mother's Day
(Sunday). Her daughter Jackie said she died from a broken neck when she
fell and hit the side of the bed.
Her obituary reads:
Mrs. E. P. Reynolds, Long Resident, Dies
Mrs. Earl P. (Lenore Krebs) Reynolds, 69, died Sunday morning at her
home, 1118 Fuller Ave. SE.
Born in New Boston, Mrs. Reynolds lived in Grand Rapids since 1828.
She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and treasurer of
the Thomas Circle of the church. She was a past matron of the Signet
Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Her husband is a retired Michigan Bell Telephone Co. division plant
supervisor.
Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Donald J. Coombs
of Manistee and Mrs. Russell A. Lauer of Grand Rapids; a son Eugene P. of
Traverse; a sister, Mrs. Percival Ammon of Chicago, and eight
grandchildren.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Metcalf Chapel, with
the Rev. Donald E. Gordon, assistant minister of Westminster Presbyterian
Church, officiating.
Burial will be Chapel Hell Memorial Gardens.
