Announcements have been received in Battle Creek of the marriage of Harold Bodine, formerly of Battle Creek, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bodine, 105 North Wabash avenue, to Miss Eleanor Eichelsdoerfer of Washington, D.C., which occurred in Chicago on Thursday.
The newspaper obituary of Mildred L. Ferguson (The Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel of 26 Feb 1987 named among her survivors a brother, William E. Fredericks and a sister, Eleanor E. Bodine of Mount Dora, in Lake County, Florida. According to a Lake County, Florida Warrenty Deed of 2 Aug 1984, Harold R. Bodine and Eleanor E. Bodine, were residents of Mount Dora.
The 1952 death record of Patricia Bodine named Harold R. & Eleanor (Eichelsdoerfer) Bodine as her parents.
In 1930, Lois Eichelsdoufer lived in Rock Island with her children Mildred, Eleanor, 20, and William. The 1932 Rock Island, Illinois City Directory listed Lois B. Eichelsdoerfer, widow of Wm. P., and William F. and Eleanor E. Eichelsdoerfer, all residing at the same address.

Dr. Harold R. Bodine, 80, of Sun City, Ariz., and formerly of Battle Creek, died on Friday, Aug. 16, 1991, in the Community Hospice in Sun City. Mr. Bodine was born on May 11, 1911, in Battle Creek, the son of Floyd and Bessie Bodine. He was raised in Battle Creek and was a 1929 graduate of Battle Creek High School. He graduated from Albion College in 1933. and Northwestern University Medical School in 1937. He studied obstetrics and gynecology and served his internship at Illinois Central Hospital in Chicago. He served his general residency at the Carle Hospital Clinic in Urbana, Ill., from January 1937 to July 1938. Dr. Bodine served his obstetrical residency at Millard Fillmore Hospital, Buffalo, N.Y., from July 1938 to July 1939 and then returned to the Carle Hospital Clinic in Urbana, Ill., as staff obstetrician and gynecologist from 1939-44. He served with the Army Medical Corps during World War II after which he returned to Battle Creek to open a private practice. In 1947, Dr. Bodine formed an association with Dr. Frederick J. Melges and Dr. Wendell H. Stadle in the Security National Bank Tower. He also had served on the staffs of Community and Leila hospitals. Dr. Bodine retired in 1969 and had lived in Harbor Springs, Mount Dora, Fla., and Sun City since then. He was a member of the Illinois and Michigan State Medical societies, a fellow of the American Medical Association and a founding fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynscology. He also was a member of the Calhoun Medical Society where he served a term as president. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Eleanor; a son, William Bodine of Petosky; and one grandson. Visitation: Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral services. Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial donations: Good Samaritan Hospice Care.
