Notes for: Victor Chamberlain Bodine, Sr.
I did have that he was born Feb. 16, 1888, but the draft info below, which he gave himself, says Feb. 15, 1888. I'll go with that. The Feb. 16 date comes from the SSDBI which came from family.
He lived at 55 Farrell Avenue in Trenton, New Jersey. His grandson, Brian David Bodine says he was from Blawenburg, New Jersey and moved to Trenton. Blawenburg is in Somerset County. I did have that Victor was born in Mercer County, New Jersey, but I have no source for that.
From Ronny Bodine:
The Trenton Evening Times of 29 June 1909 reported the wedding of Victor Bodine and Charlotte Tye, daughter of Charles Tye, at the Broad Street Methodist Episcopal Church in Trenton. Victor and Charlotte Bodine lived 1910 in Trenton, Mercer County next door to Victor's parents. Victor was employed as a watch maker in a watch factory. On 1 June 1917 in Trenton, Victor Chamberlain Bodine registered for the World War I draft. He reported he was born 15 Feb 1888 in Harlingen, New Jersey and was married with 2 children. In 1920, living in Trenton, Victor Bodine now worked as a wire drawer in a wire mill and in 1930 he was engaged as the manager of a shoe company. In 1942, he registered in Trenton for the World War II draft and reported he was employed by W.P.A. Finger Printing and the State Police.
