On 12 Sept 1918, Harold Byron Crews registered for the World War I draft in Oklahoma City. In 1930, H. B. Crews, a welder for an automobile business, lived with his family in Oklahoma City.

CREWS, Harold B., Sr., went home to be with the Lord on May 28, 1996. He was born Jan. 26, 1900 at Everton, Mo. to Walter & Ida Mae Crews. Married Marguerite Bodine Crews on Jan. 1, 1925. Harold was an electrician with the IBEW for over 50 years and also served as an Oklahoma City electrical inspector for approximately 7 years. He was ordained and served as a Deacon at Wilmont Place Baptist Church for 58 years, and taught a Sunday School class for 51 years. Predeceased by a daughter, Jeannine I. Crews, he is survived by his wife, Marguerite; 2 sons, Harold, Jr. & wife Betty of OKC, Jerry & wife Joyce of Norman; 6 grandchildren & spouses, Nancy & Kenneth Cook, Brenda & Larry Dalton, Doug & Cecelia Crews, Steve & Cathie Crews, Penny & Keith Coakley, & Richard Crews; 15 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; many other relatives & friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wilmont Building Fund. Funeral service scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 31.

CREWS Marguerite, 96, longtime resident of OKC, passed away Monday June 5, 2000 at El Reno, OK. She was born September 15, 1903 at Indiahoma, OK to Charles F. and Ida May Bodine. She married Harold B. Crews, Sr. at OKC on January 1, 1925. Marguerite taught Sunday School for 55 years at Wilmont Place Baptist Church where she was a longtime member. Survivors include two sons, Harold B. Crews, Jr. and wife Betty of Yukon, OK, and Jerry B. Crews and wife Joyce of Norman, OK; sixgrandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold and one daughter, Jeanine I. Crews. Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 7, 2000 at Wilmont Place Baptist Church with interment to follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
