In June 1910, Howard Bodine, age 28 and single, lived with his sisters Florence Bodine and Mable Spafford and her husband Leonard in Owasco Township, Cayuga County, New York engaged in farming. On 12 Sept 1918 in Auburn, New York, Howard Clayton Bodine registered for the World War I draft. He reported he was born 3 Oct 1881, worked as a farmer, and was married to Ruth Bodine, of Auburn. He lived with his wife and 2 daughters in Owasco Township, Cayuga County in Jan 1920 and there in April 1930, he reported having been married 18 years and his family now numbered 6 children. Howard and Ruth Bodine were buried in Owasco Rural Cemetery, Owasco Township.

AUBURN--Services for Howard C. Bodine, husband of Ruth Ackerman Bodine, of Fleming, who died Monday in Auburn Memorial Hospital after a short illness will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Langham Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard J. Blocker pastor of Sand Beach Church officiating. Burial will be in Owasco Rural Cemetery. Calling hours will be 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 Tuesday at the funeral home. Born in Niles Mr. Bodine had resided in Owasco most of his life nefore moving to Fleming eight years ago. A member of Owasco Reformed Church, he was a retired farmer. Surviving, besides his wife, are three daughters, Mrs. Arthur Snover of Scipio, Mrs. Herbert Pearce of Auburn and Mrs. George Danken of Tucson, Ariz.; three sons, George Bodine of Moravia, Harry Bodine of Genoa and Trooper David Bodine, Owasco; a sister, Miss Florence Bodine of Auburn and 20 grandchildren.

MORAVIA--Mrs. Ruth Ackerman Bodine of 10 Church St., formerly of Owasco and Fleming, died Saturday at Auburn Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Howard C. Bodine. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Arthur Snover of Scipio, Mrs. Herbert Pearce of Auburn and Mrs. George Dankan of Tucson, Ariz.; three sons, George and Harry Bodine of Moravia and Trooper David Bodine of Owasco; 22 grandchildren and a great- granddaughter. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Langham Funeral Home, Auburn. Burial will be in Owasco Rural Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association
