Floyd Houston registered for the World War I draft on 5 June 1917 in Port Arthur, Jefferson County, Texas. Floyd and Lola Houston were living 1920 in Eason, Pottawatomie County engaged in farming. The couple had no children at this time. In 1930, the Houston family was living in Port Arthur, Jefferson County, Texas and where Floyd was employed as a fireman for a oil refinery.
