Notes for: William Bodine
There is a William Bodine listed as head of household in the 1855 New Jersey State Census of East Amwell Township. There are seven people in his household. Two are males and five are females. The other male, besides William, is between 5-16 years of age. One female would be his wife. Another of the females is between 5-16. The other three would probably be daughters, but their ages are not indicated.
There is also a William Bodine listed in the 1880 Census of East Amwell Twp., Hunterdon Co., NJ. He is a farmer, age 71, born in NJ. Both his parents were also born in NJ. He seems to be the only one in his household.

Hi Dave--
You posted what I had sent you, but I did add the following, which you should add as well:
From New Jersey Federal Census Records:
1840 Amwell Twp., Hunterdon County: William BODINE males 1(0-4), 1(30-39), females 1(0-4), 1(10-14), 1(30-39), 1(70-79).
In 1846, Amwell Township was split into East and West Amwell Townships and thereafter William Bodine remained a resident of East Amwell Township.
At this time I have no idea who his parents might have been. In looking at the 1830 Hunterdon County censuses there were three Bodines there, Benjamin 1794-1875, Jacob c1807- and David R. Bodine 1808-1867. But there are two in the adjoining Kingwood Township: John Bodine (1770-living 1850) and William Bodine. I would look at these latter two, but I have no resources available.
That's the best I can offer at this time.
Ronny

Thanks for the prompt reply. I will try the east and west Amwell leads. I have also found a link that states that William who was married to Julia Smith, had a brother named Jacob, so this may help out. I will let you know when I find out more. Thank you again.

Note from Dave: If the above is true, then that Jacob Bodine is probably the one married to Catherine Fauss.
