Notes for: Laura Bodine
From Ronny Bodine:
In June 1880, Laura Bodine, age 24 and single, lived with her parents and was employed as a milliner. In June 1900, Michael and Laura Nolan and their 2 children lived in Indianapolis, Marion County. Michael reported he worked as a machinist and that in 19 years of marriage his wife had borne 3 children of whom 2 lived. In April 1910, Laura Nolan was a widow and lived with her mother in Rushville, Rush County, but in the May 1914 newspaper obituary of her mother she was not named as a survivor, though her son, Charles Nolan was.
From Indiana Death Certificate of Michael Nolan, husband of Laura, born 1 Nov 1846 in Ireland, son of James & ----- (Cudahay) Nolan, died 29 Nov 1902 in Indianapolis, marion County and was buried in Rushville. Informant was Mrs. L. Nolan of Indianapolis.

The Daily Republican (Rushville, Ind.) of 17 Dec 1912.
Mrs. Laura Nolan, only daughter of "Aunt Becky" Bodine, is reported to be fatally stricken with paralysis at the home of her son, Charles Nolan, in Indianapolis. Word was received here today that she was unconscious and that little hope was held out for her recovery. She was taken to Indianapolis only a few days ago after she had suffered her third stroke of paralysis. At that time Mrs. Nolan had lost the use of her left limb.
The Daily Republican (Rushville, Ind.) of 23 Dec 1912.
