It appears Caroline Bodine was living with her mother and stepfather in Lee Center, Lee County, Illinois in 1870. She is recorded as Caroline Trowbridge, age 20, born in New Jersey. In 1880, Carrie B. Tate, age 29, and her 2-month old daughter Jesse, were living in the household of George and Theresa Slade in Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska, where Carrie was employed as a servant.
