Notes for: Abraham Britton Bodine

In 1895, Abraham lived on Dongan Street in West Brighton, Staten Island.

I am guessing that this is the Abram B. Bodine who is listed in the 1880 Census of Castleton, Staten Island (Richmond Co.), NY. He is listed there with his wife and two of however many children he had. Abram is listed as a retired grocer. He was 64 and born in NY as were both his parents. His wife is Mary A. Bodine. She was 52 and she and her parents were born in NY. Two children, Alice E. Bodine and Jefferson W. Bodine are also mentioned.

The Britton genealogy calls him Abraham Jr. and says he was baptized January 1816 and to see his will. That would be good to see that.

See the message below for a coin on sale that may have marked Abraham's wedding to Mary Ann Hunt. It's just a guess on my part, but from the little information available on the coin (and it was bought from a dealer in New Jersey), then my guess is that it could be this Abraham Britton Bodine and mark his wedding year or date.
