Notes for: Manning Force DeWitt

He was named for Manning Force, a Methodist minister. He was known as the "marrying minister" since so many couples slipped across the state line to avoid having to get a liscense. They had at least two children. They resided in Elmira, New York. I have quite a bit more information on the DeWitt family in my folder "Allied Families". This came from the Internet, but I have not published it to the my site.

Manning had a sister named Mehitable.
