Notes for: Mary ("Polly") Bodine
They had nine children, four of whom had Bodine as their middle name. A note at Peg Faludi's site at World Connect said that their remains (she and her husband) were later removed to Walkill Valley Cemetery. Peg Faludi (pfaludi at facstaff.wisc.edu) has morei info on this family.

Hi Dave,
I just came across your rootsweb page. Wish I had found it a long time ago. I'm descended from George Tears (1781-1853) and Mary "Polly" Bodine (1782-1854) specifically from their son, David Bodine Tears (Thiers).
First of all I thought I would share some information. George and Mary had the following children:
Catherine b. 19 May 1806
James Bodine b. 5 Sep 1808
Easter Anne b. 8 Mar 1811
Jane Crawfort b. 4 Feb 1816
Roxanne Bodine: b. 31 Mar 1818
David Bodine: b. 28 Jul 1820; d. 25 Mar 1875, Kenosha, Kenosha, Wisconsin m. (6 Apr 1847) Lousia Kirwan Capron b. 2 Oct 1814, Whitesboro, Onieda, NY; d. 17 Feb 1926, Milwaukee, Milwaukee, Wisconsin (She was the daughter of Seth Capron who fought in the Revolution and she was the last living "real" Daughter of the American Revolution.)
John Bodine: b. 16 Jan 1823, d. 25 Apr 1884
All of the birth dates come from the transcription of the Brick Reformed Church's records done by Jean Worden.
I do have some questions about some of the information on your site. You have George Tears' father as being Daniel Tears b. 1736 in France. Our family has believed that the Tears were originally Dutch and the name may have been Tiers or Tiercx orginally. I do not have any sources for this. However, our family did have a myth which started with Louisa Capron. She changed their last name to Thiers (David never used anything but Tears) which was the last name of a very popular French president (Adolphe Thiers) at the time and would hint at a relationship to Adolphe and would bolster the claim by stating that David came from a French family (which in actuality was the Bodine side.) I'm wondering if this myth somehow crept into the birthplace of Daniel? Do you have any sources for the birth date and place of Daniel?
I have a lot more information about David and Louisa and thier descendants to include sources and pictures if that would be of any interest.
I see that you have used a book called The Millspaugh Family in America as a reference. Any idea where I could get a copy?
Thank you for your time. Look forward to hearing from you.
