He served at Fishkill under Capt Conckling, in Col Hawthorn's 4th Reg't. Check out the attached, plus: New York in the Revolution as Colony and State, James A. Roberts, Comptroller, 1898, pages 161/2.

From: Biographical sketch of Harvey Griffin in Commemorative Biographical Records of Ulster County, 1896, p. 994-995.
John Bodine had extensive realty interests, owning about 600 acres of land, just above the village (Plattekill Township), which he divided among his five sons. He was also a native of this county, but his father was a native of France. A German element entered into the family by the marriage of John Bodine to Mary Frint, who was probably born in the Fatherland. They located on the old homestead farm, where they spent their remaining days, and reared a family of five sons and one daughter, namely: John, Henry, Levi, Peter, Isaac and Esther; all of the sons became farmers.

Ester, bapt. 3 Oct 1801, born 10 Sept 1801 to John Bodine and Mary Brindt.
Levi, bapt. 26 Feb 1804, born 20 Jan 1804 to John Bodine and Mary Frint.
Isaac, bapt. 8 July 1809, born 31 May 1809 to John Bodine and Mary Brindt.
The will of Henderick Frind, of Montgomery, Ulster County, dated 29 Nov 1796, with a codicil dated 13 Nov 1799, was probated 4 Dec 1802. The will named sons Jacob and Henry, daughter Mary, and three granddaughters named Elizabeth, and grandson Henderick Bodine. The codicil directed that 50 pounds owed by his son-in-law John Bodine should be given to "my daughters child Elizabeth Bodine." Executors are sons Jacob and Henry and friend Hendrick Smith. (Orange County Wills, vol. B, p. 353)
John and Mary Bodine were buried in the New Hurley Dutch Reformed Church Cemetery, Plattekille, Ulster County. The gravestone of John Bodine records his age at death as 66 years and that of Mary Bodine as 74 years, 4 months and 27 days.
The will of John Bodine of Plattekill, Ulster County was written 17 June 1825 and therein named his wife Mary, sons Henry, John Jr., Levi, Peter and Isaac Bodine; daughters Catharine Dunn, wife of Joseph Dunn, Hannah Dubois, widow of Walter Dubois, Mary Garrison, wife of Daniel Garrison, Sally Redman, wife of Peter Redman, and Esther Bodine. Executors were wife Mary Bodine, John C. Brodhead and John Bodine, Jr. The will was proved 23 June 1826. [Ulster County Wills, vol. E, pp. 279-288]
