The birth records of Texas County, Missouri reflect a son born to Nathan Bodine and his wife Emma A. (Stewart) Bodine in Piney Township on 24 Aug 1888. The birth was registered 29 Sept 1888. In 1910, Mark and Lola Bodine lived in Claquato, Lewis County, Washington. Mark reported that he and Lola had been married 2 years and that she had borne 2 children of whom 1 was living. In 1920, Mark Bodine lived in McGill, White Pine County, Nevada employed as an engineer for a copper smelter. Lola (Bennett) Bodine was the daughter of William and L. (Padgett) Bennett. In 1930, Mark Bodine, now widowed, lived with and worked for Frank and Gretchen Maturka as a servant in Satsop, Grays Harbor County, Washington. His death was reported to the Social Security Administration under the name Mark Bodine with a date of birth of 24 Aug 1889. Lola Bodine was buried in Claquato Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Lewis County where her grave marker shows her date of birth as 28 July 1891 whereas her 1922 Washington death certificate recorded the date as 29 July 1892.

Mrs. Lola Bodine, aged 29, a resident of Littell, died Monday in Chehalis. The funeral was held yesterday at 1:30 p. m., from the Sticklin parlors in Chehalis, Rev. W. E. Simmons officiating, and interment being in the I. O. O. F. cemetery. The deceased is survived by her husband, Mark Bodine, and two children. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bennett of Adna, and two sisters also survive.

ELMA, Wash., July 13.--(Special)--Mrs. Nellie Bodine, aged 45, wife of Michael Bodine of Wickswood, near Elma, died suddenly Wednesday after a paralytic stroke. Mrs. Bodine came here from the Grays harbor district five months ago, and is survived by five sons and two daughters, all of Aberdeen and Hoquiam. They are James O. Wilson, Aberdeen; Harry E. Sellers, William H. Sellers, Jesse Verne Sellers, Donald Sellers, Mrs. Blanch Organtzes and Mrs. Hazel Round, all of Hoquiam. Funeral services will be held from the Whitside chapel Sunday, with Rev. E. O. Grimes of the Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in Masonic cemetery.

Mark O. Bodine, 42, of Anaheim, widower, locomotive engineer, born in Missouri, son of Nap Bodine & Emma Stewart AND Cynthia Kruizenga, 47, of Anaheim, single, born in Wisconsin, daughter of Jacob Kruizenga & Henrietta Weaver, were married 28 Feb 1932 in Anaheim, by Howard G. Stansbery, Minister of the Church of Christ.
Although the foregoing obituary named her husband as Michael Bodine, he was actually Mark Bodine. Marriage records named Mark Bodine of Grays Harbor County who married Nellie Jane Sellers, also of Grays Harbor County. A witness to the marriage was Mrs. Blanch Organtzes, the daughter also named in her obituary. Washington state death records note that Nellie Bodine was the daughter of James and Sarah (Mcartney) Orr and died at Clemons Camp, Gray Harbor County aged 45 years and 23 days on 11 July 1928.
