Notes for: Peter Bodine, Jr.
Peter was an ensign in the 5th Orange County, New York Militia, 1817-1821. This comes from "The Millspaugh Family in America," 1969 and supplement 1980, by Francis C. Millspaugh and his daughter, Ann Millspaugh Huff. Saunderstown, RI. The name "Peter Bodine Jr." was used at the baptisms in 1805 (but not in Worden), 1807, and 1813. A town history of Walden says Peter married a Mary Milspaugh.

Hon. Frederic Bodine - .....William Bodine, the great-grandfather of the subject of this biographical sketch, who acquired a large tract of land one mile to the west of Walden Village, the homestead of later generations of the family. Among his children was Peter, the grandfather of Frederick, who resided upon a farm in Montgomery, and married Miss Mary Millspaugh. Their children were eleven in number, one of who was Sylvanus, born July 10, 1807.....
