Notes for: Alfred Bordine

The 1850 Census says he was born in New York, but other evidence points toward Lenawee County, Michigan. When he and Nettie married, he was living in Batavia Township and she was living in Coldwater, Michigan.

This is probably the Alfred Bordine found in the 1880 Census of Lee, Allegan Co., MI. He is a farmer, age 33 and born in MI. Both his parents were born in NY. He is living alone.

From Ronny Bodine (Dec. 31, 2021):

Alfred Bordine enlisted with the 7th Michigan Infantry, Company C on 6 Feb 1864 and was promoted to Corporal on 13 May 1865. He was mustered out on 5 July 1865.
