Notes for: Margaret ("Peggy") Ferguson

Their marriage in 1823 named the couple Jefferson Bodine and Peggy Furgason. As Margaret was aged 38 in 1850, it appears she was just 11 years old at her marriage. Yet, the 1840 census gave her age as between 30 and 39, the same as that of her husband. It would not be unreasonable to assume her age in 1850 was in error and that it should have read 48, thus placing her birth about 1802.
