Notes for: Mary Thixton Bodine
I think I've also seen her name as May and Mary J. Bodine.
From Ronny Bodine:
William Ownby, a clerk with a lumber company, lived with his family 1900-1910 in Salisbury Township, Chariton County, Missouri. In 1900, he reported that in 25 years of marriage his wife had borne 10 children, but only 4 were surviving. In 1920, William Owenby, age 75, lived with his daughter and son-in-law, Rush and Belle Mason, in Salisbury Township. Mary Ownby died of cancer. The death of William was recorded in Missouri as Owenby. See their Missouri death certificates no. 1911-28862 and 1927-460. Both were buried in Salisbury Cemetery, Chariton County.
Children: Mary Belle (Dec 1881), James M. (Dec 1884), Lucille (July 1892).
