Thomas Cotton (1730-1818) was a private in Capt. John Perkins' company for
the relief of Boston. He was born in Pomfret, Conn.; died in Hartland, Vt.
Willard Cotton (1757-1836) served in Captain Weld's company, Windsor County,
Vermont militia, 1780. He was born in Pomfret, Conn.; died in Lenox, N. Y.
John Bodine served as a minute man in the Burlington County, New Jersey
militia. He was born, 1743, in Somerset County, N. J.
Elisha Gallop (1727-1800) was a minute man at the Royalton Alarm in the
Vermont militia. He was born in Stonington, Conn.; died in Hartford, Vt.
Peter Ervin (1752-1846) enlisted, 1779, in the New Jersey Continental Line,
and served until the surrender at Yorktown. He was born in England; died in
Plymouth, Ohio.

Rev. John Tenney. "Enlisted Aug., 1861, in the 36th O. V. I. for three years, detached as a musician. Reenlisted as a veteran, 10 Sept., 1864, promoted to principal musician, which position he held until the close of the war. He was not yet twenty-one years old when he returned from his four years' service. He participated in battles, South Mountain, Antietara, Chickamauga, Mission Ridge, Winchester, Fisher Hill, and Cedar Creek. His brigade attended President R. B. Hayes and President William McKinley. He graduated from Marietta College in 1869, classical course, and graduated, 1872, from the Lane Theological Seminary, Cincinnati, Ohio. He was ordained in Nov., 1872, by the Presbytery of Athens, Ohio. With the exception of four years in Minnesota and Wisconsin, he has preached in Ohio ; now settled at Vanburen, Ohio. "
On 3 Sept 1890, John Tenney of Ohio filed for an invalid pension and on 19 Sept 1916, Ada Bodine Tenney of Arkansas filed for a widow's pension.

Plymouth, Aug. 11--(Special)--The body of Mrs. Ada Bodine Tenney, 84, was brought to Plymouth from North Little Rock, Arkansas, Saturday evening by her son, George Tenney, and taken to the Miller-Scott Funeral parlors. Services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Presbyterian Church with Rev. J. W. Wicherson, officiating. Interment in Green lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Tenney was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Bodine, pioneer residents of Plymouth and spent her girlhood days here, where she was an active member of the Presbyterian Church. She taught vocal music in Plymouth schools in 1890. Besides her son, she is survived by four grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Laura Lattimer of Portage, Wisc. and a brother, Frank Bodine, of California.
