Seeking full birth date of MATILDA BODINE who was born @ 1826 in Columbia County, PA and died on 9 April 1887 in West Auburn, IA. She married @ 1844 ELLIS BILLMEYER. He was born on 18 November 1824 in Columbia County, PA and died on 18 April 1898 in Auburn Township, Fayette County, IA. Have much data on their children. Willing to share.

I have a Bodine in my mother's family history. Ellis Billmeyer was born in Columbia County, Pennsylvania on 18 November, 1824 and died in Auburn Township, Fayette County, Iowa on 18 April, 1898. He married 1st in Fayette County, near West Union, Iowa in 1844 Matilda Bodine. She was born in Columbia County, Pennsylvania in 1826 and died in West Auburn, Iowa on 9 April, 1887. Ellis married 2nd in April, 1890 Elizabeth Ostrander Miles. Her dates of birth and death are unknown. Ellis and Matilda were the parents of 11 children. I can supply their names and other information if you are interested.

DeAnna later wrote me and said she found out that Matilda was orphaned at a young age. I'm am trying to get more info about this.
Subject: william bodine b@1825 Hi! my name is DeAnna Hogan. i have emailed you before with a question but now will ask another. this william bodine did he by chance have a sister Matilda? she was b@1826. she was orpahned too. she married a ellis billmeyer in 1844. the moved to iowa in 1855. i have read that matilda "was one of 3 children orhpaned at an early age and reared on a farm" i got this information from a book called the Past and Present of Fayette Co. Vol 1 & 2. does this ring a bell with you? william was on the 10 most wanted. i think matilda was his sister. she is my 4th great grandma. DeAnna
