Well, I think this is as far as I got the last time - this family of Morrison's (as per that 1880 Census of Sheridan, Crawford, KS) does seem to be a good fit for Ward Bodine's spouse, Margaret "Maggie" Morrison. Big Bill listed in the 1810 Census that his mother was born in KS, but Maggie herself listed her birthplace as IL - the Margaret in that Census record was born in IL but moved to KS for a time. However; I cannot in good concious link these girls as one and the same yet because I have failed to find evidence of her return to the ILL and/or IN area after her residence in Kansas. This could indeed be our girl - and there are even a few family trees that have listed Ward as her spouse. I will make contact with these tree owners to inquire if they may have found evidence that brought this Maggie back to the ILL/IN area. They have listed the family data as follows:
William Isaac Morrison born April 04, 1836 in PA, died August 15, 1916 in Cherokee, KS.
Mary Catherine McCammett born January 21, 1838 in Wellsburg, VA (was West VA), died June 14, 1908 Cherokee, KS
children:
1. Nettie born 1859 Burnydotte, IL
2. Zaidee May born February 04, 1861 Burnydotte, IL, died May 20, 1935 Corcoran, CA
.....married George Goodrich Warren born May 29, 1859 Kentland, IN, died March 06, 1935 in Corcoran, CA
3. Margaret born June 16, 1863 (our Maggie is listed in confirmed Census records as born in June 1862 - very close)
4. James Frederick born April 04, 1864

Also of interest, I just noticed that in the 1910 Census record, William "Big Bill" Bodine listed his mother's (Margaret "Maggie" Morrison) birthplace as Kansas --- I will check into that more carefully now, and I will get back to you if I find anything definitive...
