From Indiana Marriage Records: Ray Bodine and Sybil Norris were married 1 Sept 1915 in Fountain County.

On 5 June 1917, Ray Bodine registered for the World War I draft in Fountain County. He reported that he was born 11 Jan 1894 in Covington, Indiana, was married and engaged in farming. In 1920-1930, Ray and Sibyl Bodine lived in Wabash Township, Fountain County engaged in farming.

Ray Bodine, 61, life resident of the Covington community, died at 5 p. m. Monday (Jan. 9, 1956) at his home on Second St., following a heart attack. Mr. Bodine was born Jan. 11, 1894, in Wabash Township, Fountain County, son of Warden and Maggie Morrison Bodine. He married Sybil Norris Sept. 1, 1915 and she survives. Also surviving are a son, John, who is with the House of David at Benton Harbor, Mich., and two brothers, Frank of Bismarck and Fred of Attica rural route. He was preceded in death by a son in infancy and a brother, William. Mr. Bodine farmed in Wabash Township until 1943 and then was employed several years at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Danville. For the past three years he had worked at the Covington Hatchery. He was a member of the Covinqton Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Thursday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. The Rev G. Elwood Anderson will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sibyl N. Bodine, age 70, who had made her home with her sister, Miss Nell Norris, at 313 Jefferson St., since 1956, died there at 9:30 p. m. Tuesday, Jan. 129. She had been in ill health the past five months. Mrs. Bodine was born in Troy Township May 4, 1892, the daughter of Jacob and Lizaben Nebeker Norris. She was married Sept. 1, 1915 to Ray Bodine, who preceded her in death Jan. 9, 1956. Following her husband's death Mrs. Bodine went to live with her sister Nell. She was a life resident of Fountain County with the exception of a few years at Hoopeston, Ill. She was a member of the Covington Methodist Church and the Bend Social Club. Surviving Mrs. Bodine are: one son, John (Mose) Bodine, who resides at 916 Sixth St.; two grandchildren; two sisters and one brother, Miss Nell Norris and Mr. Lynn Norris, both of Covington, and Mrs. Ruth Fox of Danville, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son. The body is at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home where friends may call after noon Thursday, Jan. 31. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p. m. (DST) Friday. The Rev. Donald Wade, pastor of the Covington Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery here.
