On 12 Sept 1918, Harry Allen Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in Venango County, Pennsylvania. He reported he was born 16 Nov 1878, worked as a barber, and Verna Tubbs Bodine was his next of kin. In Jan 1920, Harry Bodine lived with his family in Pleasantville, Venango County working as a barber and in April 1930 lived in Titusville, Crawford County working as a laborer at odd jobs.

Harry Allen Bodine, 74, died at his home al 108 E. Spruce Pl. at 5:40 a. m. Monday after a month's Illness. He never completely recovered from a fall last month while walking on North Franklin Street. Prior to that time he had been downtown every day. Mr. Bodine was born 16 Nov 1878 in Ashtabula, O., a son of John L. and Lucy Lance Bodine. The family later moved to Pleasantville where Mr. Bodine owned and operated a barber shop. After moving to Titusville in 1926 he continued in the barber business until his retirement in 1943. At that time he suffered an army injury when struck by an automobile. In 1902 he married Verna Tubbs and the couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year. Besides his wife, he is survived by the following children: Mrs. Mildred Farnof of Plumer, Mrs. Frances Brecht of Oil City, Robert Bodine of Cleveland, Mrs. Geraldine Ford and Miss Margaret Bodine, at home. There are 11 grandchildren and 1 greatgrandchild. Also surviving are three sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Zula Reidenbach and Mrs. Harry Reinhardt of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Lulu Rodgers of Larchmont, NJ. Fred Bodine, Maxwell Bodine and Arthur Bodine, all of Pittsburgh. Friends may call at the Arnold funeral home where the funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Victor Bucher officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Pleasantville.

Mrs. Verna Tubbs Bodine, 78, of 108 E. Spruce PI. died suddenly at her home at 8:30 a. m. yesterday as the result of a stroke. In poor health for some time, she was able to be up and around as usual until the fatal attack. She was born at Enterprise July 15, 1878, the daughter of George and Dianna McCullough Tubbs. She was married to Harry Bodine in 1902. Mr. Bodine died July 6,1953. They had observed their 50th anniversary in 1952. After their marriage they lived in Pleasantville until 1928, when they moved to Titusville where she had since resided. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Mildred Fornof and Mrs. Francis Brecht of Oil City, Geraldine Proper of Wallaceville, Robert Bodine of California and Margaret at home; 71 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Neva Akin of East Titusville and Mrs. Josephine Farquharson of Ashtabula. O. Two children died in infancy. Two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death. The body is at the Arnold Funeral Home where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. The funeral service will be held there Monday at 2 p. m. with Rev. James Cameron officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery,
Pleasantville.
