In Sept 1850, Malinda Bodine and her children were living with Noah and Hannah Bodine in Montgomery who appears not to have had any children of their own. Noah Bodine (1786-1853) was the brother of Malinda's late husband Edmund. Noah, age 62, a farmer, was the head of a household that consisted of his wife, Hannah 55, and Malinda 41, Eveline 16, Josephine 14, Henry 12, Noah Kimbark 29 blacksmith, and William Kimbark 23. Both Noah and Hannah Bodine died in 1853 and in June 1860, Melinda Bodine 52, had taken charge of the family which now comprised Theron 27, a tailor, Josephine 24, Henry 20, a painter apprentice, and Ellah, 10 months. In June 1880, Melinda Bodine, aged 74, lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Josephine and Richard Samuels in Montgomery.
