There is a Francis Bodine who died on October 31, 1866 in Prince William County, Virginia who could very well be this Francis Bodine. I am only guessing, though, by some other info on his family.

Prince William County Marriage Records: Oliver P. Merritt, 25, born MA, son of Lory and Harriet Merritt and Catherine Bodine, 43, born NJ, widow, daughter of John H. and Catherine Hornbaker, were married 25 Dec 1870.
